Rutland Area

Rutland is centrally located at the crossroads of US Route 7 and US Route 4 so to update that old expression - You CAN Get Here from There!

Rutland City is the donut hole, Rutland Town is the donut, the other 26 towns in the county surround the city and town.

Route 7 will take you North through Pittford and Brandon before leaving Rutland County for Addison County or meandering South on Route 7 takes you through Clarendon, Wallingford and Danby before entering Bennington County.

From the West, Route 4 enters Rutland County in Fair Haven, continues through Castleton, Ira, and West Rutland before junctioning with Route 7.  Heading East is Mendon and Killington.
